Wildlife Volunteer Drivers

Last year Wadars rescued more than 1700 birds and wildlife, most of them following calls from concerned members of the public.

This year we are recruiting a small number of Wildlife Volunteer Drivers to support our team of Animal Rescue Officers in transporting wildlife and birds.

You will need to be over 25 years of age for this role as it will involve driving one of the Wadars animal ambulances.

Volunteering at Wadars

Volunteers are an essential part of Wadars. They are at the heart of what we do and achieve. unfortunately we don't currently have any volunteering roles that involve direct contact with the animals in our kennels etc but there are many different ways you can helps us from fostering animals in need to administration, answering our busy telephones or joining our amazing team of fundraisers.

Have a look through our volunteer opportunities below and if there is something you think you are interested in please download and complete the volunteer application form and we will be in touch. If you have any questions or would like some more information you can call us on 01903 247111 or email enquiries@wadars.co.uk

Unfortunately we don't currently offer volunteering opportunities for under 16 year olds.

Your time can make a real difference to the animals that need us!

Collections Volunteer

We attend various events throughout the year, mostly at the weekends, to help raise funds and awareness for Wadars. If you could donate a little of your time to lend a hand then let us know! We normally just ask you to give up two hours of your day if you volunteer for a collection or to help man the wadars stall and there isnít normally any need to do anything special beforehand, just be over 16 and have a friendly smile and the desire to help us to continue to carry out our work caring for the animals that need us

Community Fundraising Champions

Volunteer Fosterers

The volunteer role of a fosterer is a crucial one and can make a huge difference to the rehabilitation of an animal and their chances of rehoming.

Some animals need one-to-one care or perhaps don't cope well in an animal centre environment and this is where our team of fantastic fosterers come in...
