FAQ
What is Firewalking?
Firewalking is the unforgettable experience of walking barefoot across a bed of hot embers.
Led by experienced instructors from Blaze Firewalking, the challenge is designed to help you face your fears, step outside your comfort zone and achieve something you may never have thought possible!
Do I need to attend training?
Yes. All participants must attend the training session before taking part in the firewalk.
The decision to walk is entirely yours, and there is no pressure to take part. We simply ask that you wait until you have completed the training before making your final decision.
Is it real fire?
Yes. Wood is burned down to create a smooth bed of glowing embers, approximately 20 feet long and 2 feet wide.
Will you be walking through flames?
No. By the time you have completed your training, the fire will have burned down to a bed of embers. Any remaining flames will be positioned away from the walking area.
What about the environmental impact?
No trees are cut down specifically for the firewalk. Blaze Firewalking works with local timber-based businesses to make use of wood offcuts that would otherwise need to be disposed of.
