Willow Farm has been a family home for many years. Now, we need your help to transform its five-bedroom house into practical, accessible office accommodation, creating a dedicated base for the people working behind the scenes to care for animals.

Turning a family home into a home for WADARS
Willow Farm has served as a smallholding and family home for many years. As WADARS prepares to move, the existing five-bedroom house needs to be adapted to meet the very different requirements of a working charity.
Our plans include converting the property into office accommodation, refurbishing its interior and providing disabled access throughout the ground floor.
From structural alterations and new flooring to an accessible toilet, staff kitchen and updated electrical systems, this project will create a more suitable working environment for our team.
While the animal accommodation is at the heart of Willow Farm, the people and facilities supporting that work are essential too.

What's involved in the conversion?
Transforming a family home into a practical office space requires a comprehensive refurbishment. Your support will help fund the essential improvements needed to prepare the building for WADARS.
I've grouped the seven items in the brief into five cards to keep the carousel manageable while retaining every part of the specified work.
Structural works
Essential alterations will help transform the existing house from a residential property into accommodation suitable for WADARS’ office requirements.
Ground-floor accessibility
The conversion will provide disabled access throughout the ground floor, including the installation of an accessible WC.
New staff kitchen
A dedicated kitchen will provide an essential facility for the team working at Willow Farm.
Electrical upgrades and lighting
The house will be rewired and fitted with new LED lighting as part of its conversion into office space.
Interior refurbishment
New flooring, suspended ceilings and decoration throughout will complete the transformation into a suitable working environment.

Cattery Relocation
By relocating our existing cattery, we'll continue to create a safe, comfortable and familiar environment for the cats who depend on us.

Dog Exercise Areas
Each exercise area will be enclosed with 1.8m-high fencing and secure access gates so dogs can be released directly into the exercise area.
Small Animals
Small Animal Unit
We propose the installation of a purpose-built log cabin, which will provide more suitable accommodation and improved welfare standards for these animals.
If the project exceeds its fundraising target or is unable to proceed as planned, the charity reserves the right to use any funds raised to support its wider charitable purposes.
