Help Us Create Two Dog Exercise Areas
Every dog deserves the freedom to explore, exercise and enjoy time outdoors. Help us create two secure exercise areas at Willow Farm, giving dogs in our care a safe space to stretch their legs, build confidence and meet prospective adopters.
A safe space for every step towards a new home
Our plans for dedicated kennels at Willow Farm include two secure outdoor exercise areas where dogs can spend time away from their kennel environment.
These spaces will allow our staff and volunteers to exercise dogs safely while providing a more relaxed and natural setting for prospective adopters to get to know them.
They'll also support training and behavioural assessments, helping our team understand each dog's needs and prepare them for the next chapter of their lives.
With secure fencing, carefully designed access gates and a covered shelter, we're creating outdoor spaces that put the safety and welfare of dogs first.
What we're creating for our dogs
Building these exercise areas involves more than putting up a fence. Each element will help create a secure, practical outdoor environment for dogs, staff, volunteers and prospective adopters.
The brief lists five cost elements but asks for four boxes, so I've grouped the water supply with electrics and lighting to fit our carousel.
Secure fencing and gates
Each exercise area will be enclosed by 1.8m-high fencing and secure gates, with a double-gated entry system designed to allow vehicles to enter safely and dogs to be released without escaping onto the wider farm.
Ground preparation and drainage
Essential groundwork and drainage will prepare the site for the new exercise areas and support their practical day-to-day use.
Covered shelter
A sheltered area will offer protection from adverse weather for staff, volunteers and prospective adopters during supervised exercise sessions and visits.
Water, electrics and lighting
A water supply, electrical installation and lighting will provide essential infrastructure for the exercise areas.
Dog Exercise Areas Funding Target
Our support will help us build two secure outdoor spaces where dogs can exercise, train and spend time with prospective adopters. Every contribution will bring us closer to the funding needed for fencing, groundworks, shelter and essential services.

Cats
Cattery Relocation
By relocating our existing cattery, we'll continue to create a safe, comfortable and familiar environment for the cats who depend on us.
Small Animals
Small Animal Unit
We propose the installation of a purpose-built log cabin, which will provide more suitable accommodation and improved welfare standards for these animals.
Location
House to Office Conversion
Willow Farm has been a small holding and family home for many years. Wadars will have different requirements as it adapts the house to office space.
If the project exceeds its fundraising target or is unable to proceed as planned, the charity reserves the right to use any funds raised to support its wider charitable purposes.
